I know it's been a tough week for some and I'm glad to hear all friends are doing fine. Unfortunately, another typhoon's coming, let's pray and hope it won't do much damage, or better, take a different route. Please take care of yourselves.


It's now October and my special day is nearing. If God permits and everything and everyone's fine, we'll have a little celebration at home, as usual. It seems I have a long list of friends, at this age, and I don't want to forget to invite anyone and make them feel left out ...so I'll make it appear it's your fault if you failed to come. I won't be sending notes to your inboxes this time.



If you consider us as friends, nothing more (LOL), nothing less, then my dear, YOU ARE INVITED! You are very much welcome to our humble little house. Please do come on my exact birth date. "And when is that"? Eh? You should know by now, I post an invitation every year. Do your research, we're friends, right?


And~ oh yes, if you're among those who play badminton weekly and is unhappy you'd miss out on your weekly exercise, there's a badminton court a few blocks away. Feel free to come early and play there (before you go feasting ).


As usual, food will be ready around 3 or 4pm. Overnight stay is allowed (RECOMMENDED). Beer will be served at night.


How to get here...
You can go together with friends who've been here before.
If you can't join the others and doesn't know the way, hmm, I haven't checked and updated my map. Let me know if anyone needs it.

Since *daMEAT election is over I can now post the candidates' drunk and haggard-looking pics. Most of the candidates are close/good friends of mine but of course there's no such thing as an election conspiracy.

ToyCon was fun and I feel so blessed. I arrived pretty late (as usual), and looked for me outside event. Olive already bought me my ticket and gave it to me for free. Thank you~! When we reached the booth I saw the usual peeps , , , , , , , and was seating, looking all tired. and were busy helping in her Motoko Kusanagi costume. I shook hands with Aki and Sonny to congratulate them on winning in the election. Ahem! I'm still waiting for my mug of beer. LOL, kidding. Moments later arrived with his new hair color. Then out of the blue, showed up! He's alive~! also passed by then went back to 's booth. also dropped by the booth, but they're already on their way out to head home. also came with his toys and entertain others by putting his toys in some playful -___- positions. also passed by the booth every once in a while. came in her hot, hot costume, erm, I wasn't familiar with the character, sorry. ^^ A few minutes later, came to the booth, on his tail was along with their other friends. I dropped by Jhack's booth with where I saw who seems to have gained weight, hohoho. When we got thirsty, Olive and I went out to buy some drinks. We bumped into while buying bottles of mineral water. Minaru also paid for my drink. D: Thank you~! Wait! I'm not broke or anything, alright. I take it as a blessing. After a short hi-hello and a snap shot, PM went back to his friends and we headed back to the event and we never saw each other again, LOL. Oh we did, while lurking around in the tradehall, but I have to buy something out of the event; when he passed by the daMEAT booth, I was still out. Surprisingly, was also able to come to the event. She just got back from US, went home to take a shower then head straight to the event. o_O She also gave us a box of delicious japanese goodies she bought during her stopover at Japan, talk about special delivery. Thank you~! Delru also has some chocolates for us from Guam. Thanks! We also met at the event and . About an hour before the closing, one by one, we're returning to the booth. All hungry, we ate the free foreign snacks together. Then we roamed around with Jori to have some pics with mascot/character figures. Then we walked back to the booth again where the "leftovers", the remaining members, had group shots. Mark III took the group pics with about 5(?) digicams. While waiting for others to pack up, we had a fun pictorial with the Harry Potter standies. We ate dinner at the foodcourt where Khaell paid for our orders. LOL, I didn't buy anything for myself that day, the only expense I had was for my ride.



Haha, why did it get this long, I just want to say who I met that day and I ended up telling something more. Anyway~ I'm really glad to meet old friends, especially the ones I haven't seen in ages. And even if it was just a few minutes, it matters. You're alive~!

First and foremost: No, I'm not going to cosplay.

My cousin will be celebrating her 18th birthday on May. Her debut motif will be sports but she'll be dressed as a cowgirl and her Dad as a cowboy; her mom and sis will be wearing racer uniforms. (Oh, I want one too~ )


Can anybody suggest a good costume-maker who asks for a considerable price, please?

Do's and Dont's of 2009

I got this from my male bestfriend's e-mail and I find it inspiring so I'd like to share it to everyone.



HEALTH:

1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
5. Make time to practice meditation, yoga, and prayer.
6. Play more games.
7. Read more books than you did in 2008.
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
9. Sleep for 7 hours.
10.Take a 10-30 minutes walk every day. And while you walk, smile.


PERSONALITY:

11. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12. Don't have negative thoughts on things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the present moment.
13. Don't over do. Keep your limits.
14. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
16. Dream more while you are awake.
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
18. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
20. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
